Streets for All - Measure HLA

Creating this motion graphic for Streets for All was a great opportunity to create work that would help affect change in my community and beyond. As an avid recreational and commuter cyclist it is important to me to have safe multi-modal options for transportation. This video was meant to spread awareness and help collect signatures to get this measure on the ballot. I created this animation pro bono using a collage technique and simple style to save time on illustration, it's one of my favorite pieces and was happy to help with the project. I also did a bit of sound design and mixing as well. Measure HLA passed in 2024 but the movement for safer streets continues!

Disney

Using provided designs and direction I created these animated ads for a new Disney podcast title For Scores, exploring all of the new and classic soundtracks from Disney productions. A contribution I made to the overall aesthetic were the sparkles  and lower frame-rate that accentuate the text animation and make it feel that much more like classic Disney animation.

California Center for Rural Policy
Redwood Region Rise

Redwood Region Rise is a series of nine motion graphic explainer videos introducing their new 10 year roadmap to bring new and sustainable jobs to the northern California Region. Along with my colleague Wesley we managed to turn around all videos in two different sizes in under a month. It was a very rewarding challenge and a fulfilling project to contribute to. Insomniac
Using provided design and layouts I animated these pieces for Insomniac to promote their events and merchandise. I also cut the music from selected tracks timed to the animation.

Below are a few pieces I've created for cycling groups and organizations using provided imagery, illustration, and graphics to create promotional materials for social media and events. I also had a hand in the sound design and edit
Miscellaneous work examples

This is a collection of logo animation explorations I did for Contend's sizzle reel. I saved the best ones for last.

I animated this artwork and composited keyed footage of butterflies for a gallery event for PRMTVO a local clothing and accessory brand in LA. It was quite a challenge to rotoscope the butterflies satisfactorily, thankfully the roto ai has made leaps and bounds in the past few years.

This is a lower third I developed and animated using Newton, a physics plug-in for After Effects. It's a fun tool to experiment with and see what kind of crazy physics results you can get, definitely a time saver when it comes to creating complicated physics based and soft-body animations

An animated logo concept creating character faces with just the letters from the supplied logo. A fun challenge that I think shows my creativity and resourcefulness in design and animation
